Throughout childhood, children have dreams and goals they want to achieve in the future no matter how crazy it would sound imagination made their fairytale dreams be created in their head with fake scenarios. Some wanted to be superheroes and help people around the world with their superpowers. Others wanted to be princesses and become queens after. The only thing I wanted as a child was to feel wanted.
I grew up with my two older and younger brothers, my mom and dad who would always work and when they didn’t all they did was fight and complain about our situation. My mom was a maid at the time and worked 8 hours a day; My dad in the other hand was a constructor worker, he would work way more hours than my mom it depend on the job he had that day and how long it would take him to finish him. The longest he ever took was about 10 hours
Now as you can imagine even though my family had two household members, we still struggled alot. My mom would barely have time to cook on weekends what we would eat the whole entire week. Mainly rice and beans ( meats were too expensive for us, we would rarely have some during holidays). I don’t remember the last time I tried an strawberries. Going back to my brothers, the oldest “Owen” an annoying 9th grader and youngest “Devin” a 5th grader also annoying but not as much as Owen.
