When Perseus had shown up to the feast without a gift, he had offered to do anything to get in his good graces again. The King had said for him to bring back Medusa’s head.
Take these gifts!
When the guests heard of this they all gasped and knew that he would not survive. No one had ever survived Medusa’s eyes.
Give me the eye!
Perseus had said his goodbye’s to his mother telling her that he will return with Medusa’s head and will be victorious.
You will tell me where Medusa is.
In the beginning of his journey, he was met with two gods who gifted him sandals, a sword, and a shield. They told him to only look at Medusa through the polished shield. They also told him to go to find the Grey sisters.
Perseus had come across the Grey sisters when they were arguing about one singular eye. Perseus took advantage of this and stole the eye when they were all distracted.
When he bargained the eye for information, they had told him where Medusa’s lair was and he was on his way.
