  • ok teacher, I´m still a bit confused, Where does the oxygen come from?
  • I´m actually excited that you are asking that, before I answer you, do you know why we water plants and put them in the sunlight?
  • No, Is it related?
  • Fotosintesis?
  • Yes!, the plants bring us oxygen by getting their nutrients, through fotosintesis.
  • at the beginning, trhe plant would ABSORB nutrients, principally, from its roots, then those nutrients, CIRCULATE, all the wat to the levaes, where is more common to be the plce where the fotosintesis happens
  • The the fotosintesis dived in 2 phases, which are the luminous and the dark one. On the luminus, the plant uses the sunlight to convert CO2 and H2O into ATP
  • Then the plant uses that organic matter to grow, and they are the ones that produce oxygen. That is why we should take really great care of the plants
  • This convertion is made by chloroplasts. Then at the dark phase, this ATP, is converted into organic matter, this part does not use sunlight
