Today we are going to discuss what chemical and physical proprieties are and the difference between intensive and extensive properties are.
Chemical properties - a property of matter that describes a substance's ability to participate in chemical reactions , creates a new substance.
Example -Rust nail Reason- Because an iron in the nail reacts with oxygen in the air and over a period of time creates new substance which is rust
Example - rusty nail
Reason -the iron in the nail reacts with oxygen in the air and over a period of time creates a new substance RUST
Physical property- a characteristic of a substance that dose not involve a chemical change , such as density , color or hardness.
Example-crumbling or cutting paper
Reason-because it is still paper
Extensive property- a property that depends on the extent or size of system
