Exposition A huge crowd gathers in the village for a lottery contest that happens every year around the end of June. Every head of the family has to grab a slip from Mr.summers head of the lottery.
Conflict When Tessie Hutchinson realizes her husband has the center of attention at the village because of the card he had picked out she stated yelling. She stated how bill didn't have enough time and it ins't fair.
Rising Action The entire Hutchinson family was called back up to the box Tessie bill,Bill Jr., Nancy, and Davy. Mr.Summers puts 5 slips into the box counting the one that Bill pulled out with the black dot.
Climax Each member of the Hutchinson family picked a slip from the box and Tessie ends up getting the slip with the pencil mark. When the rest of the family's is blank.
Falling action Tessie starts to scream saying its not fair and wants t do it again. So the villagers gather stones to throw to end the lottery.
Resolution Tessie gets stones thrown at her while the rest of her family are celebrating from them winning the lottery.
