  • What evil wind blew in this pest?!
  • A pity that you have more looks than heart!
  • You sit here, fat on others’ meat, and cannot bring yourself to Rummage out a crust for me!
  • Odysseus, while disguised as an old man, is begging for food, and the men (except for Antinuous) give him bread
  • You think you’ll shuffle off and get away with that impudence?!
  • If beggars interest the gods, if there are Furies pent in the dark to avenge a poor man’s wrong, then may Antinuous die before his wedding day!
  • Antinuous comes in and starts yelling at Odysseus.“What evil wind blew in this pest?!” The Suitors, line 1210
