Hello its nice to meet you, My name is Dr.Brown and I am the head of Cardio Surgery Here at John Hopkins University
Since you are our new volunteer, I will be your attending today showing you around and talking to you about my position.
As you may know, becoming a doctor requires a lot of commitment because of how long it takes to achieve this position
To be a cardiologist , you must have a doctoral degree in medicine and completion of residency program in internal medicine and cardiology. You must also have state licensure and a cardiologist certification.
Not everyone can make it as a doctor, you must have specific characteristics to be qualified. You must be a very patient and concentrated person. and you cannot be clumsy because what happens if you end up hurting a patient :(. Not a very good result. You should be a very caring person and be able to tolerate basically anything. You should also have a uge interest in science and math.
So Basically how a cardiologist's day goes is they start their days doing consults with patients, also does research, and work with with ER patients.
This is one of my interns, Dr. Avery and he is my intern today which means he'll be learning with us today!
Cardiologists make an average of $353,262. Although it pays well, this job is not always fun and exciting. It can be very pressuring because of all the stress that comes with this job. But it is also fun sometimes because you get to learn new things and make new discoveries every day.
