This isn't fair! You should marry someone you love regardless of the color of their skin.
Mildred and Richard Loving were both sentenced one year in prison because they married each other.
Around the time, integrated marriage was illegal and uncommon.
The Supreme Court decided that the prohibition was unconstitutional which was over ruling Pace v Alabama.
It ended all based legal restrictions on race!
The couple have been released from prison and lived a happy life with one another.
Now, on June 12, we remember that day as "Loving Day" to celebrate the the day whites and colored could marry each other.
