  • This isn't fair! You should marry someone you love regardless of the color of their skin.
  • Mildred and Richard Loving were both sentenced one year in prison because they married each other.
  • Around the time, integrated marriage was illegal and uncommon.
  • The Supreme Court  decided that the prohibition was unconstitutional which was over ruling Pace v Alabama.
  • It ended all based legal restrictions on race!
  • The couple have been released from prison and lived a happy life with one another.
  • Now, on June 12, we remember that day as "Loving Day" to celebrate the the day whites and colored could marry each other.
