Storyboard Description

This is a storyboard based off the Sherlock Holmes short story "The Musgrave Ritual".

Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • In this first scene Watson told Sherlock to clean up the papers. Sherlock then retrieves a box and tells Watson  if he knew what was in here he'd rather take some out. Then he tells the story of the Musgrave Ritual. 
  • Climax
  • During the story Sherlock is listening to Musgrave. He tells Sherlock about his butler Brunton and how he was found looking through family documents. Musgrave then goes on to give him a week to leave but he Brunton disappears on his third day. He also tells him about the maid Rachel Howells. 
  • Falling Action
  • Sherlock looks at the document known as the Musgrave ritual which is what Brunton was lookin at. Sherlock then solves the riddle. Then Musgrave and Sherlock go to the location hinted at.
  • Resolution
  • In the climax of the story sherlock and musgrave go into the cellar and find what they were looking for. They alo found Brunton dead.
  • Sherlock pieces together two theories of how brunton died. Rather it was an accident were what was holding the door fell and closed on him and Rachel didn't tell anyone, or Rachel moved the piece of wood herself and left him to die. He also points out the Musgrave has the crown of Charles the second.
  • At the end of the story Sherlock is finished telling watson about the Musgrave Ritual and explains that Musgrave got to keep the crown, after paying a fee.  Also Sherlock didn't clean up, of course.
