The owner of the store sees the side of his food being stolen. He does not see the side of the kid and what he is going through. If we immediately jump into conclusions without seeing all sides to the story, we might end up making bad decisions.
Oh my goodness! These kids are always stealing!
The boy does not have a family to support him so stealing is his last option. If the owner knew this he might have been a little more understanding.
I have no family and no home. Stealing is the only way I can get food.
These people are seeing the boy steal and the owner get very upset. They realize the boy might be going through something. This helps them not to jump to conclusions. Perspective and point of view play a big role in our everyday decisions.
I wonder what is going on with that kid that he feels the need to steal?
