- Hamartia
- After Macbeth is told by three witches that he will become king, he is promoted in rank, and his wife convinces him to kill the king to become one.
- Hubris
- His extreme paranoia in killing the king ends up making him send out people to kill those close to the king.
- Peripeteia
- When Macbeth sends someone out to kill Banquo because the witches told him Banquo's son would be king, Banquo dies, but his some escapes and Macbeth sees Banquo's ghost that night foreshadowing bad fortune.
- When Macduff and him fight each other Macbeth believes that Macduff cannot defeat him because he is born of a woman, which isn't technically true because Macduff was ac-section.
- Anagnorisis
- Macbeth is killed and gets his head taken to Malcolm by Macduff, and then Malcolm promises peace to all.
- Nemesis
- The feeling that this could've all been avoided if he hadn't listened to his wife can't help but plague us in the end.
- Catharsis
