Biology Photosynthesis Part 2

Storyboard Text

  • ATP
  • The extra Hydrogen in the thylakoid lumen then moves through ATP Synthase and back into the stroma. The ATP synthase turns ADP into ATP by adding an extra phosphate.
  • H
  • H
  • H
  • ADP
  • ATP Synthase
  • The Calvin Cycle is the next step of photosynthesis and unlike the electric transport chain, it is light dependant. It takes in the carbon dioxide and using NADPH and ATP and creates glucose.
  • ATP
  • NADPH
  • NADP+
  • ADP
  • Calvin Cycle
  • Glucose
  • CO2
  • This glucose is then used as energy and food for the plant and makes the plant extra tasty for Jeremiah's Lunch
  • To show what happens to Jeremiah's food on a cellular level we can use the chemical equation 6CO2 + 6H2O + Light -> C6H12O6 + 6O2
