  • Hello! I am doctor Sanjay Gupta from CNN! Today I am going to give you a summary of what the novel coronavirus has done so far.
  • CNN Opinion
  • CNN Health
  • As of April 20, COVID-19 has infected 2,435,876 people and has killed 167,369. People with compromised immune systems or old people are at the highest risk.
  • Most countries with COVID-19, 210 to be exact, have their people under lockdown or quarantine, meaning that they cannot leave their house unless they are getting essential supplies or going to the hospital.
  • The economy is also going through a very weird phase. At first, everything crashed and went down, but now things are fluctuating. Today, the WTI Crude stock went down more than 200%! It is worth -$30, so I am very confused. Are we getting paid for buying oil?
  • Stimulus CheckFrom the U.S. governmentDonald J. Trump
  • Many countries have implemented different plans, to combat the pandemic, with varying amounts of success. South Korea made testing kits and prepared before COVID-19 even got there, giving them an advantage. Now, they have only 2,000 active cases. However, the U.S. has been hit the hardest because of how late our government acted. In my opinion, the U.S. could've avoided the terrible situation we are in now - we have almost 800,000 total coronavirus cases!
  • Mystery Virus Infects Hundreds in China(01/10/2020)
  • As you can see, this pandemic has evolved greatly over a very short period of time. It has completely changed our lives, and everything we know has been flipped upside-down.
  • The coronavirus has now infected over two million people!
