Ronald Adams is leaving home for a while. His mom is sad that he is leaving and tells him to drive safe. Adams gets in his car and drives away.
Ronald is driving down the Brooklyn Bridge. He sees a hitchhiker in front of him and quickly swerves out of the way. Luckily, he did it quick enough, and dodged the man.
Adams sees the hitchhiker from the bridge again and is puzzled by it. There's no way could've walked or hitchhiked here that fast. He starts to think that the hitchhiker is trying to kill him.
Adams is terrified. He decides that he is too scared to drive alone any further, so he decides to give a girl on the side of the rode a ride. But this ride is short lived because he crashed the car into a barbed wire fence trying to run down the hitchhiker. He begs for the girl to stay in the car, but she doesn't listen and walks away.

Adams decides to call his mom. When he calls, another woman picks up. Adams asked where his mom was and the woman said that she was in the hospital because her son had died on the Brooklyn Bridge. Adams steps out of the phone booth and has a nervous breakdown.
Adams mother is in the hospital because of a complete nervous breakdown. First responders are taking his mother into the hospital. The ghost of Adams follows her inside of the hospital.
