  • They tax our tea , we pour it into the harbor !
  • 1st Continental Congress(1774)

  • I cant believe these intolerable acts!
  • Lexington & Concord 4-19-1775
  • You're not going anywhere!
  • The Boston tea party was important because, the colonists got tired of the British always taxing them or the money that they needed, to pay the soldiers. This led to the Lexington & Concord which gave the colonists ideas to sign the Declaration of independence and go to war with the British army.
  • The Intolerable Acts were put to action as a punishment for The Boston Tea party. The British called them Coercive Acts, but the colonists gave them the name "Intolerable Acts" because they thought they were intolerable. One of these acts included the Boston port act . Soon after the Boston Harbor was sealed off.
  • When a small militia of colonists prevented the British from entering Lexington & Concord it was the first "battle" between the British and the colonists because there were some shots fired.
