We should go...
No! We must stay!
Odysseus and his men sail from the Lotus-eaters into the land of the Cyclopses. The crew enter the mainland and wander into a cave full of sheep and crates of milk and cheese.
Odysseus's crew advises him to only snatch some food and leave as soon as possible, but Odysseus' hunger to satisfy his curiosity leads them to go exploring a little more through the cave.
The cave's inhabitant, Polyphemus the cyclops, soon returned. At first, he showed great hospitality but instantly turned hostile as he devoured two of Odysseus's men.
NOBODY'S KILLING ME!!!
Polyphemus then traps Odysseus and the rest of his crew by placing a huge boulder in front of the cave's entrance, making it almost impossible for the crew to escape.
The next day, Odysseus manages to get Polyphemus drunk on wine and states that his name is "nobody". Polyphemus then passes out and Odysseus and his men stab the cyclops in the eye and try to escape.
Polyphemus cries for help but yells, "Nobody is killing me!", resulting in nobody coming to his aid. Odysseus and his crew manage to escape and continue on their jounrey.
