Storyboard Text

  • Narrator - Right now Cedar (the boy on the left) is thinking I am so mad that we have school. But Billy the other boy is currently thinking about how much fun he is going to have today learning about elements and compounds.
  • Hello class!  My name is Mr. Wysocki What are your names?
  • Hi! My name is Billy and I know a ton about elements and compounds
  • Hello Mr. Wysocki. My name is Cedar
  • Today we are going to learn about molecules. Molecules are two or more atom held together by chemical bonds. Ex. H3
  • I learned last year that a molecule as a compound could examples like NH3 or H20. And H2 is a molecule but it is also an element.
  • Doesn't that mean that all compounds are also molecules.
  • Correct Cedar
  • Yes Billy
  • OK class today we are going to learn about elements. Elements are a pure substance that is composed of a single type of atom.
  • OK. So a element is ONLY one type of atom. I know an example such as  Oxygen (O)
  • So that also means that it cannot be broken down into any other substances
  • Today we will learn about COMPOUNDS. A compound is a pure substance made of 2 or more DIFFERENT elements.
  • OK. So that means that it can be broken up because it is made up of two or more and two or more can be distributed.  H2O is a compound.
  • I was studying elements, compounds, and molecules on your roof and now I cannot get down. I´m STUCK!!!!!!!
  • Maybe you should just study at your own house.
  • Billy what are you doing?
  • I am stuck on your roof!!!!!!!
  • Narrator - THE END
