  • He can either be a great king or a Religious leader

  • Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) was born in the year of around 563 B.C. and his father had ruled the kingdom of Nepal, a country north of India. Soon enough a fortuneteller comes to the king and tells him his son with either be a fierce King or a religious leader. His father was  pleased to hear this and tried as hard as he could to guide him towards being a king
  • Search for Truth
  • Siddhartha was raised into his family with pure luxury and wealth and as he said "wore garments of silk." during this age (Buddha) was greatly protected from his father of anything bad like someone who was sad, sick, or even poor and had to be accompanied by many guards. As he was married the entire quart celebrated as he soon had a son and a wife.
  • Path of self Denial
  • Some people say that when Siddhartha was around the age of twenty-nine he rode out of the palace without any of his guards at all. During this ride, he saw an old man leaning on a stick another time he saw a man shrunken by disease, a third time he had saw a poor family  with all of them crying and near them was a dead man. As Buddha said, "All of the joy from life had shrunken from me
  • Soon enough after seeing these horrible sights he wanted to find the truth through all of this. So Siddhartha lived on what people put inide of his begging bowl and slept inside of shelters and caves and maybe even under trees. Siddhartha had even began studying with the hindu teachers and they taught him about lifes never ending cycle and he found out how to escape
  • Siddhartha next step toward becoming a religious leader was to join the ascetics who practice self denial. For Siddhartha living as one of them ment denying all of his physical comforts, like he wore scratchy clothes and could not bathe.He soon grew tired of this and the others abandoned him.
  • Buddha's purpose towards life was not too become and allmighty man it was to gain spiritual knowlage and to learn
