The narrator is conversing with Fortunato (who is currently drunk) about how Fortunato is looking in good health. He is also talking with Fortunato about how he received a pipe of amontillado
The narrator asks Fortunato if we wants to go back to his palazzo. The narrator offers Fortunato wine which includes Amontillado.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Good joke. Will you let me out now?
The narrator leads Fortunato to the catacombs. Down there is where Montresor said that the Amontiallodo is.
For the love of God Montressor! LET ME OUT!
Yes... For the love of God...
Montresor traps Fortunato in the catacombs. Fotunato realizes what is going on and what is happening to him.
Fortunatos drunkeness has worn off and he is thinking that Montresor is playing a joke on him by trapping him in the catacombs.
Fortunato is beginning to get upset because Montresor will not let him out of the tomb. Montresor is not going to let Fortunato out. Fortunato will be trapped in the catacombs for the rest of his life.
