When an outside force pushes a mass, than the mass stays in motion. When it is in rest, it stays in rest.
Newton's First Law: An object in motion stays in motion An object in rest stays at rest.
Like throwing a baseball, it keeps moving until the catcher stops it.
Newton's Second Law: Mass times an acceleration equals a force.
Whenever this car starts, the engine accels the wheels and the car is in motion and has acceleration.
Newton's Third Law: Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
If I were to hit another car head-on, than I would have the same force but bounce back the opposite way.
