- In chapter 2, George and Lennie finaly reached the ranch. They were greeted by an old man who copmplained that the boss was mad cause they did not arrived in time. He then in introduced them to each important people in the ranch. After that the boss came in and talked to them.
- “I wrote Murray and Ready I wanted two men this morning. You got yourwork slips?” “It wasn’t Murray and Ready’s fault. Says right here on theslip that you was to be here for work this morning.” (Pg 11)
- “Bus driver give us a bum steer,” he said.“We hadda walk ten miles. Says we was here when we wasn’t. We couldn’t getno rides in the morning.” (Pg 11,12)
- After they went out of the shack, they were greeted by the Boss Son, Curley. Curley then examines Lennie and wants to throw hands with him. After this, George and Lennie continue their tour around the ranch and came back home for some dinner and games.
- . “Well, nex’ time you answer when you’re spoketo.” (Pg 14)
- “We travel together,” said George coldly. (Pg 14)
- “We jus’ come in,” (Pg 14)
- After playing some card games, George and Lennie prepared their beds to sleep but were interrupted by Curley once again. After Scolding and asking George about his wife, he then measured George and stomped away.
- “You seen a girl around here?” he demanded angrily.“Well what the hell was she doin’?” (Pg 19)
- “’Bout half an hour ago maybe.”“She said—she was lookin’ for you.” (Pg 19)
