The first warning signs were when a thick layer of ash started erupting from the volcano. Soon after rocks and lava started pouring over the city of Pompeii
Boiling lava and rocks came crashing down and began to destroy the houses and the cities.
Then a thick layer of ash came down into the air and making it difficult to breathe, this was suffocating a lot of people and they died almost instantly
Next, a stream of molten rock and hot poisonous gases started pouring down the mountain swallowing everyone and everything in its path
By the time the volcano had finished erupting the city of Pompeii was destroyed and covered in a thick layer of ash
