  • Since my term is going to end soon, i changed the embargo act with the Non- intercourse act
  • Conflicts in the West (battle of Tippecanoe)
  • The Embargo Act of 1807 was a law passed by the United State Congress and signed by President Thomas Jefferson on December 22, 1807. It prohibited American ships from trading in all foreign ports.
  • Call for war and warhawks 
  • This act lifted all embargoes on american shipping except for those bound for British or French ports. 
  • Battles
  • Tecumseh was not yet ready to oppose the United States by force and was away recruiting allies when Harrison's army arrived.
  • Effects of the war
  • Some British Troops in Canada also encourage Native American Indians to attach american settlements . At the same time, several young congressmen thought the time was ripe to seize Canada from the British, who were fighting napoleon in Europe.
  • The battles are(Fr. McHenry, the burning of Washington, battle of new Orleans/ Andrew Jackson)
  • Some of the effects of the war are( national pride and the American manufacturing boosted)
