Good morning class, Today in class we are going to be learning about matter.
Matter is made up of tiny particles which can also be known as molecules or atoms. Those particles are way too small for the naked eye to see. We need to use microscopes such as the ones on you desk to see them.
The particles are constantly in motion. Which means they are always moving even though we cannot see them.
Oh, the particles are always moving just like how our brain is always thinking.
Particles are attracted to one another. They are held together by electrical forces.
That reminds me of how magnets are stuck to one another by electrical forces.
One time me and my friends were blowing bubbles with one another. In this scenario the particles are kind of like the bubbles because they have spaces in between each other. Although sometimes bubbles overlap which doesn't happen with particles.
There are spaces between the particles that larger than the particles themseleves
Particles from the same substance are like a pair of shoes since in a pair of shoesboth shoes are identical. Although, different substances are different from another different pairs of shoes looks different from one another.
Particles from one substance are identical to one another although particles from different substances are different from one another.
