Plymouth Settlement Suzie Hudgens Period 3
These are the Salem Witch Trials, where we puritans, religiously persecute witches!
People of Plymouth, this is our new plan for government, the Mayflower Compact. It lets men vote and that we will work together to make this colony succeed.
Here in the Cape Cod area in Plymouth, we profit from fishing and whaling which is what I am doing now.
Here in Massachusetts , we have only small farms with rocky soil and lots of timber.
There are many differences between Jamestown and Plymouth. First off, Jamestown was on swampy land that was easy to grow crops in and only had male settlers. On the other hand, Plymouth was on rocky soil which was hard to plant crops in and the settlers were families. Also lots of Jamestown settlers died from Indian attacks and diseases while Plymouth colonists did not die . These are just a few of the many differences between Jamestown and Plymouth.
