Storyboard Text

  • Hello.  I am a  water droplet.  I am going to show you what goes on in the water cycle.
  • Well, I just left the ocean.  The sun's heat just carried me up into the sky.  This process is called evaporation.  In this process water turns to gas and rises to the atmosphere.
  • The cooling of the atmosphere turned me into water again!  This process is called condensation.
  • Well, it just started to rain.  I think I'm somewhere in Virginia right now.  This process is called precipitation.
  • This is part of yet another event in the water cycle.  This part of the water cycle is called run off. It is where water rolls down a hill and either ends up in the ocean or on plants.
  • This part of the water cycle is called transpiration.  It is where tree roots absorb left over water.
