  • A direct democracy is when free men get to vote and speak at an assembly and the most votes win. 
  • When did the direct democracy began?
  • The direct democracy began in 508 B.C.E
  • In a representative democracy all citizens vote for someone to vote for them.
  • Where did the direct democracy begin?
  • Direct democracy began here in Athens!
  • The difference between a direct and representative democracy is in a direct the citizens vote directly for the topic but in a representative the people vote for other people to be representatives and vote in their name.
  • Why was the direct democracy started?
  • It was started because we the citizens wanted to rule ourselves.
  • The representative democracy began in 1776.
  • A representative democracy is used in the U.S.A.
  • It is best for a representative to be used because it is an easier process and is less one sided.
