Claudette Colvin was sitting in a black reserved seat when she was told to move because all the other seats were full and the bus driver did not want the white woman standing . She did not move so she was arrested.
Rosa Parks was in the correct seat like Colvin except Rosa Parks did not fight the police she went with them. Like Colvin she was in the black section when she was arrested. She was arrested for not getting up out of her seat for a white.
