Hi! My name is Apyr Sauce and I need to use the bathroom after a marvelous Pepperoni Pizza! Honey can you wait for me while I use the bathroom?
Sure honey, take your time
Now that I have some extra time, let me tell you about how the Pizza got down here!
Ok so when the food enters the mouth, you chew the food and then the saliva comes into play to break the food down even more. Then the food goes down the esophagus and then into the liver which makes bile and it also helps neutralize stomach acid and it also digests vitamins. After the liver makes the bile, it is stored in the gallbladder until it is needed. The stomach then churns the food with a strong acid and it turns into chyme. Then the pancreas creates enzymes that break down the food. Muscle contractions push the food through the small intestine which digests and absorbs the nutrients from the food. And then the food goes up through the large intestine which absorbs water and electrolytes. Lastly, the waste that your body does not need goes out the rectum and into the toilet.
