Storyboard Text

  • OH NO!!! My cat ate my homework! Where will it go now?
  • I can tell you where it goes!
  • First it will travel through the esophagus which connects the mouth and stomach.
  • Once it reaches the stomach it will be further broken down by pepsin and hydrochloric acids.
  • After the stomach it goes onto the small intestine where enzymatic digestion and nutrient absorption occurs.
  • After the small intestine the homework travels to the large intestine. The large intestine is responsible for water absorbtion, bacterial activity and waste storage.
  • After the large intestine all the nutrients is absorbed so the homework will the go to the anus and be pooped out whenever.
