  • You should come to my house, I just made a clock powered by the sun! I call it a sundial.

  • Sargon of Akkad didn't only found an empire, but he kept it running smoothly with the original use of Akkadian bureaucrats installed in every conquered city. Sargon of Akkad created the worlds first known empire, after conquering all of southern Mesopotamia as well as parts of Syria, Anatolia, and Elam.

The Babylonian Empire became the most powerful state in the world after the fall of the Assyrian Empire. Babylonian society was unusually fair for it's time.

The Assyrians were the most famous for their frightening army, they had the biggest standing army in the history of Mesopotamia. The Assyrian Empire also conquered Mesopotamia and spread it's language such as Aramaic and culture throughout its empire.

The Neo-Babylonian Empire became the most powerful state in the ancient world after the fall of the Assyrian Empire. The new empires most famous king was Nebuchadnezzar II.

Hammurabi's code was detailed and covered many things like trade which helped the empires economy. The 282 laws from Hammurabi's code are one of the earliest and more complete legal codes from ancient times.
