  • At last our work had finally paid off!
  • For the third attempt, Kate Sheppard and the women's suffrage community gathered around 32,000 signatures.

  • Henry Smith Fish- politician who hired people to circulate anti-suffrag petitions in pubs.
  • In the year 1893, the opponents of the women's suffrage movement were defeted, giving women the right to vote.
