- this is the panama canal. it was built to make travel faster by cutting through 40 miles of land and adding a wide river.
- the panama canal ensures sfer travel and allows shipping by boat to be relatively faster since they only have to go through a canal.
- the construction of the canal took 10 years
- this is about their single product economy
- single product economy is what existed in central america the reason that it no longer exists is because they had competition and they only sold sugar. if you sell one product than all the money you make is off that and if you don't sell enough of it your economy could collapse. they no longer use this for this reason
- fidel castro didnt like dictatorship or communism so he took over by creating a group of folowers he soon become a dictator after
- this is the rise of fidel castro he quickly took power in cuba and kicked the americans out and divided land eqaully between everyone
