Storyboard Text

  • I became a voyageur because I didn't have much money.
  • I was leaving behind my kid, wife, and Max (My dog).
  • My muscles are a little sore right now. And I have a few blisters on my hands.
  • My brigade and I are getting along very well.
  • After leaving St.Annes I was feeling a little homesick.
  • My brigade decided to run the rapids.
  • My first rapids were very crazy. it was so bumpy and crazy. It was like a bumpy slide.
  • It was crazy on the lake. We decided to take the middle of it though.
  • It seemed easier to paddle than normal. The water was pretty calm.
  • We are lucky we didn't take on any water.
  • It was a great relief to finally make it to Grand Portage.
  • It was bigger than I thought. I also met two Native Americans. They were really nice.
  • I decided to return to Lachine with my brigade.
  • Being a voyager was hard. It was fun but very difficult. The rapids were the hardest part of the whole trip. I´m really looking forward to going home to my family and seeing my dog. And that´s my voyager story.
