  • This cannot go on! I will go and defeat the minotaur!
  • Ariadne, King Minos' daughter fancied Theseus and decided to help him.
  • Here, a ball of thread and a sword to defeat the minotaur.
  • Thanks!
  • And so when the group were sent into the labyrinth, Theseus set off, leaving the others at the door, to kill the Minotaur. He began to roll out the thread as he went, leaving a trail behind him.
  • Theseus killed the Minotaur and followed the thread back to the door. Where he sailed home with Ariadne and the others.
  • However, Theseus abandoned Ariadne on an island, he forgot to change the sails to white as revenge from the gods. Aegeus was so sad that he threw himself off a cliff.
