Norbert Rilleaux was an African American inventor. Who was born on March 17, 1806, in New Orleans and died October 8, 1894. He was an inventor and he also did chemical engineering, when Norbert was young his family would say he grew up with an interest in engineering
Norbert published a couple papers on the study of steam engines and steam power. He invented a multi-effect evaporator that helped industry progress with their businesses.
Norbert Rilleaux was important because he invented a multi-effect vaporizer. That helped speed up long processes with industries and helped them get more money.
