Juilus Caesar had taken over most of Gaul, and Rome had conquered all of the Mediterranean world. The Republic was then facing troubles, and people though if they killed Caesar, they would be saving the power of the senate. So, that is what they did.
Our Republic is in trouble, we must save the power of the Senate!

The Roman Empire had stretched even more, and is now in an island in Britain and the Black Sea. They are now done with their journey.
Fourth Punic War (44 BCE-14 CE)
Time to go back to Rome!
