  • I struck him back and he rolled out. And then I killed them all.
  • SCENE 2
  •   This request of yours really requests my death or banishment. Well, let him go then. Wherever he is. I shall hate him.
  • ... Polybus was no kin to you in blood.
  •    Oedipus Rex shows Hamartia when he was furious to see King Laius and his men in the road .   This  shows Hamartia because his temper made him kill his father. 
  • SCENE 4
  • O, O, O Light of the sun, let me look upon you no more. Cursed my life !!
  • Oedipus Rex shows Hubris when he insults Creon.  This shows Hubris because Oedipus demonstrates a excessive pride.
  • When I heard this I fled so that terrible prophecies would not come true.
  • Oedipus Rex shows Peripeteia when the messenger tells  him that Polybus isn't his real father.   This shows Peripeteia because trough this thing that drives he toward his horrible fate.
  • And he struck his eyes again and again. With every blow blood spurted down his cheeks.
  • SCENE 3
  • Oedipus shows Anagnorisis when he discovers that he married his mother and killed his father. This shows Anagnorisis because he realizes the truth about his life. ( killed his father and married with his mother).
  • Oedipus Rex shows Nemesis when he tries to change his fate.  This shows Nemesis because he tried to escape of the prophecy.
  • SCENE 2 
  • Oedipus Rex shows Catharsis when Oedipus gouges his eyes out.  This shows Catharsis because it brings us a feeling of pity about the character.
