Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Main Conflict-Man vs Society
  • My head! The noise is horrible, I can't even think!
  • "You been so tired lately-kind of wore out"
  • Rising Action
  • “Harrison Bergeron, age fourteen,” , “has just escaped from jail, where hewas held on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government. He is a genius and an athlete, is under–handicapped, and should be regarded as extremely dangerous.”
  • In 2081, everyone is equal because of handicaps. If someone is smarter or stronger than normal, they will get a device to make them and everyone else equal.
  • Climax
  • While watching the ballerinas on T.V., George and Hazel discuss the pros and cons of handicaps. Hazel likes not competing with others, but George would like not to have any handicaps.
  • Falling Action
  • George and Hazel's son had broken out of prison. He is 7 feet tall and extremely strong and handsome and wants to overthrow the government
  • Resolution
  • What were you crying about?
  • Harrison broke into the ballet, saying he is a ruler. He took off his along with everyone else's handicaps. After dancing with the ballerina to the un-handicapped musicians, they were both shot and killed by the Handicapper General. This is the climax because it's the point of no return as they both are shot.
  • You have ten seconds to put your handicapsback on
  • The T.V. burned out to black as George came back from the kitchen with a beer, he didn't realized what had happened.
  • You've been crying
  • yep
  • Hazel could not remember what happened as her intelligence was average and smart people who would be able to do something about this, would not be able to remember either because of the handicap signals. I do not think the ending is effective because it leave the story on a cliff-hanger and does not wrap up the story with a true ending.
  • Forget sad thing
  • Something sad on the T.V., its all kind of mixed up in my mind
  • i always do
