Lara Jean is a teenage girl who is very smart. She is a very sweet girl and does a lot for people. She reads a lot mostly romance. But every novel she reads she wishes her life was like the one in the book. She is a round character because her character starts off as a well-developed character. But she does grow throughout the story so that makes her character dynamic.
Technique #1: Suspense "Yes. You. Did. It was addressed to me from you.' 'Oh, God. No. No. This isn't happening" (66).
Gen is a very snotty and rude character. She hates Lara Jean and everyone else. And always wants revenge. She is a flat character because her character started off as a evil person. Her character is like this throughout the whole story which makes her character static.
Technique #2: Foreshadowing "Then Peter Kavinsky leaned right in and kissed me, and I was stunned" (74).
¨Oh my goodness, girls!!! I have news!!
Aw, man, I liked Lara Jean
The theme is what growing up is like. This is the theme because she goes through high school, she falls in love multiple times, she also struggles with the outside world. The author shows everything that happens when you're growing up.
Technique #3: Symbolism "This is the first time I've walked down the school hallway holding hands with a boy" (113).
Lara Jean and Peter??
This shows suspense because Lara Jeans letters got sent out and anything could happen next.
This shows foreshadowing because it shows that this is just the beginning of their fake relationship. But it shows that they actually have feelings for each other later on in the book.
This shows symbolism because it says they were holding hands. So this means that they have to have some feelings for each other or potentially love.
