There horns were very valuable for buttons,cups,decorations,furniture,and household utensils.These longhorns didn’t have a lot of meat but their horns were worth a lot.The horns helped them protect themselves against mountain lions,wolves,and other predators.
The economy grew and depression and the oil prices dropped.By 1902 the price for the oil was 3 cents a barrel.These changes were part of the Boom-and Bust Cycle.
Railroads reached farther distances.They were pretty expensive but,it was worth it.Everyone helped to make the railroads.
