The Mexicano Tribe By Laiana
This storyboard does not have a description.
This storyboard is about the Mexicano's and how they were affected during the Westward Expansion and when settlers came to the land.
This is where the Mexicano's lived!
Back in the day, you couldn't just go to the store to buy food. Back then, you had to make and grow everything by yourself. It was really hard work.
The Mexicano's grew all their own crops.
Like I said in the previous slide, the Mexicano's had to grow all their food. Think of how hard it was to grow ALL their crops again!
Then the settlers burned their crops AND their houses!!!!!
The settlers burned the Mexicano's houses and crops because the didn't think the Mexicano's needed to be respected even though the settlers were in THEIR land!
Now, my question is, was this avoidable? Did it HAVE to happen?
Then, the Mexicans and the Americans went to war for their land. The war started in 1846 and ended in 1848.
The Mexicano's were forced out of their land by the white settlers.
