  • I control you almost like a piece of property. You must meet my demands and have no personal choice because I control your life.
  • Oh, how I am so greatly disadvantaged and cannot control my own life even though I am a human just like all the rest of men.

  • I have no importance and that impacts what I can and cannot do.
  • Why not?
  • You should have no decision in how you live your life!
  • Women shouldn't get any choice in their lifestyle!
  • You get no legal rights!
  •  The roles of women in society were very limited, due to the fact that most women were treated to be the weaker sex physically and emotionally.Their roles consisted of simple housewives and mothers who looked after and cared for the children and the house. Women back then have been found to always need someone to look after them because they couldn't be trusted to obey the law. Women lived their lives knowing they weren't good enough, women were treated like they couldn't do the jobs of men and were considered not capable and weak.
  • There was a strong view on how women should be the property of men and must obey them. Women were greatly disadvantaged because they were viewed to be the weaker sex and to have less capability then men. This limited women to a great extent which in turn resulted in a lack of personal choice for women.
  • Women being greatly disadvantaged already, had little legal rights and had no choice in lifestyle. Based on legal status and opportunities, women were treated to have no decisions regarding their rights in society and their opportunities were limited based on their importance. The way women were treated impacted what they could and could not do.
