Storyboard Text

  • The results of the 1800 United States election is in. there has been a tie between the two democratic-republican candidates, Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr.
  • It is up to the House of Representatives to decide on the next president.
  • It is likely Alexander Hamilton will have a large part in the decision making.
  • Hamilton, you of all people should know Burr should be president. He fought along side you in the Revolutionary War, Jefferson did not. Princeton educated him well.
  • So Hamilton, who do you believe should hold the presidency. It is clear now John Adams doesn't stand a chance.
  • Although I do not  agree with all of Jefferson's actions, he make decisions. Burr just acts the part.
  • Did you hear Jefferson, Hamilton is supporting you!
  • That doesn't make sense Madison, why would Hamilton support me. He disagrees with all my actions!
  • Well he dislikes you. However, he dislikes Aaron Burr even more! The House is mostly on your side!
  • Don't assume anything Madison, we must wait for the results.
  • The House of Representatives has voted, the results are in! Thomas Jefferson has won the presidency!
