This is a phone. We use it to make a call. I am going to tell you how it works.
First i am going to start with the microphone. When you speak into the microphone has a mouthpiece and that changes your voice into electric signals.
Next the electrical go through the wire and to the phone base. Then it goes to the other phone.
Then the phone wires send the electrical signals outside the home and to a switching station that connects callers. Incoming signals also travel along the wires to the base of the phone. The phone base also receives incoming electrical signals from the wall outlet. Witch then goes through the wire that goes to the phone and it goes to the handset.
Lastly the earpiece turns electrical signals into sound waves. The sound waves you hear is very similar to the sound that was spoken into the phone of the other line.
Then it repeats itself but backwards on the other side of the line. The it repeats back to you and dose that over and over again. That is how the phone works. Thank you for listening to how the phone works.
