Its main purpose is originally to help cure hereditary diseases by changing genetics. Scientists fear that it may later be used to change someone’s traits to desirable ones.
CRISPR may change something it is not supposed to as well as the gene it was. It may fail entirely, killing the entity. It is still being tested and these are only a couple of broad side effects.
