  • The education reform started in early 1800s when Horace Mann set out to better American Public schools by allowing all children to go for free and hiring professional teachers.
  • I wish my tecaher knew what his was talking about 
  • This needs to change we need teachers trained to be a teacher
  • The second great awakening was a shift away from calvinism. Thomas Paine started the movement that delt with the age of reason. 
  • Come in to worship and learn about our religion
  • Temperance started in early 1800s and was the most popular reform. It was started by people seeking political action because they felt that alcohol cause abuse and slowed productivity.
  • Ummmmm! I love my beer
  • Public Asylums started in the early 1800s and it was where the mentally ill or "possesed" people were thrown in jail because they were different. 
  • Why am I in jail I am not  criminal??? I am just mentally insane. 
  • The womens rights reform started in the early 1800s because of the grinike sisters. The sisters brought information to the Seneca falls convention and demanded womens rights.

  • Abolitionism was the anti-slave movement throughout the south. Although abolitionism had attracted many followers in the revolutionary period, the movement lagged during the early 1800s. 
  • I dont want to be a slave anymore.
