  • Hello there my name is Fredrick Douglass, I was born on Feb. 14, 1818 but I passed away in 1895, I am a abolitionist, orator, and writer .
  • I  was born into slavery, my mother is a slave and I never knew my father. When I escaped slavery in 1838 I moved to New York then later Massachusetts .
  • I became a civil rights activists and met with president Abraham Lincoln several times to discuss his efforts to abolish slavery.
  • In 1847 I started the North Star an anti slavery an anti slavery newspaper. (later changed to Fredrick Douglass paper.)
  • My first auto biology book was published in 1882 I also became the first black man to be vice president of the first woman president to be Victoria Woodhull, Only I didn't know that.
