  • Peter Zenger: The governs is such a terrible person for rigging the elections. This should be heard!
  • Can YOU believe this!
  • Peter Zenger printed the articles and made is public.
  • OH MY GOSH!
  • Wowzers
  • Peter Zenger you are under arrest for LIBEL!
  • WHAT!
  • 1733 was when Peter got arrested and went on trial.
  • Off to court where Peter was hoping to win and not go to jail, only because he was being honest
  • For what he said about me was NOT OK! I think he deserves to be punished.
  • Andrew Hamilton of Philadelphia, stepped up to defend Zenger. Hamilton admitted that Zenger printed the charges and demanded the prosecution to prove them false.
  • This is unacceptable if something was true how would it even be consider a "LIBEL". Plus the man has a right to speak out and  say what he wants, also long as he telling the truth.
  • After the court hearing the judge heard both sides and agreed with Hamilton and Peter was found not guilty. Americans won freedom;freedom of press as well.
  • Thank you so much for your help fell thankful!
  • Of course! we should have our rights.
