- I had joined kindergarten late, because I didn't turn 5 until February. I joined sometime in the winter, and I was nervous my classmates would be mean.
- Girls, this is Nylah. She'll be sitting here the remainder of the year. Make her feel welcome.
- My classmates were actually really nice, and I had started to fit in with them just fine.

- My first day went well, and I was very satisfied. I was scared at first, but learned that I could handle it as time went on.
